- To what extent are teachers K-2 implementing the Houghton Mifflin reading program and assessments? To what degree are the strategies in the Houghton Mifflin reading program effective for teaching the skills missing for those students who are below grade level?
- To what extent are teachers K-5 implementing math pacing guides? Which math content area are problematic for students and what strategies are teachers using to ensure mastery of math concepts and skills?
- What assessments are available for teachers 3-5 to identify the missing skills in reading and math for older "at-risk" students? What intervention programs are being used to address these needs? How effective are these programs?
- What additional support and training do teachers need to fully implement the Houghton Mifflin reading program and math pacing guides?
