    • Improve collection, organization, accessibility and use of diagnostic data to guide instuction.
    • Use teacher collaboration through grade level study teams, combined with professional development to support implementation of agreed-upon strategies.
    • Continue Strategic Instruction Model (SIM) focusing on lesson plan format, unit organizer, and visualization strategy.
    • Work with the local collaborative to build site capacity in assessment, inquiry and reading strategies.

    • Of our target students who are decoding at grade level, what is their fluency rate and is it increasing?
    • Are target students using metacognitive strategies they are being taught?

    Teacher Practice Questions

    • To what extent are teachers implementing agreed-upon megacognitive strategies for teaching inference?
    • To what degree are teachers using repeat reading strategies to build fluency at grade level?
