Summer School

Dates: July 12 - July 23 (Two Weeks)

Course Title: Oreintation to College (1 College Unit)

Fall Schedule

Classes Start: August 19

Start and Ending Times: 8:55am to 3:45pm (Monday thru Friday)

Daily Schedule: AVID, English 9, Drama or another English elective, Algebra 1, Geometry, Geography (Sem), Current Life Issues (Sem), Biology, PE, and Foreign Language (College Level - For selected students only)

Lunch: COA wil be selling a $3.00 lunch (Sandwich/Pizza/Special, Beverage and Chips/Cookie)

Drop Off Time: Students may come to school early and stay in ASTI student lounge.

  • October 4 - Progress Report Issued
  • October 8 - Back to School Night
  • October 26 - Staff Development Day (Minimum Day)
  • October 29 - Halloween Costume Party

November

  • November 2 - Surprise Field Trip
  • November 10 - Executive Board Meeting
  • November 17 - Lion King Field Trip
  • November 22-26 - Thanksgiving Break

December

  • December 17 - Semester Break

January

  • Janaury 17 - Martin Luther King Day

February

  • February 18 and 21 - Presidental Holidays

March

  • March 28 to April 1 - Spring Break

May

  • May 27 and 30 - Memorial Day

June

  • June 6 - Last Day of School for ASTI Students

Student Leadership Committees

Students are required to participate in one of the five leadership committees:

  1. Cultural (plan and organize activities to promote and celebrate diversity/school morale)
  2. Communication (publishes school newsletter and other means and methods of communicating with the ATSI school community
  3. Appreciation (plan and organize activities to reward and appreciate the school community)
  4. Social (plans and organizes school socials
  5. Recruitment (plans and organizes activities to recruit other student to ASTI)
