Let's Move Alameda Background: Alameda Hospital is launching a program modeled after Michelle Obama Let's Move America. Alameda Unified School District is proud partner for this program. Fiscal Implications: None 2.) Turf Field at Thompson Field The Alameda High School Boosters are interested in doing a feasibility study of putting a turf field at Thompson field. Fiscal Implications: None 3) Project Leaf (Local Edible Alameda Farm) Proposal for Eagle Avenue Background: Residents surrounding the old Island High site on Eagle Avenue are interested in converting the site into a community garden. They applying for state grant and need acknowledgement from Alameda Unified School District they would sell the property at market rate to them. Fiscal Implications: None 4.) Operating Agreement between the City of Alameda and Alameda Unified School District for the Pools Background: Staff presented the proposed operating agreement between Alameda and AUSD to operate the pools.. Fiscal Implications: Overall operating costs for the pools would be similar to prior years for AUSD. 5) Steps to Success Background: Staff presented the "Steps to Success" program that create focus points for measuring academic success of Alameda students. Fiscal Implications: None 6) AUSD State of Technology 2010-11 Background: Staff presented an update on the current state of technology within the District. Fiscal Implications: None 7) Centralized Enrollment for K-12 Students Background: Staff presented an overview of a proposal to centralize enrollment for the district. Fiscal Implications: None 8) Review of Proposals for Magnet, Innovative and Promising Practices Background: Staff presented a recap of the six proposals submitted. Fiscal Implications: None
