National Homeless Youth Awareness Month Background: Staff will present a summary of the services provided the Alameda homeless population. Approval of Resolution 10-0113 Layoff at WCDC Food Service Personnel Background: Due to a reduction in services .75 FTE position is being eliminated. Fiscal Implications: None. 5.) Discussion of Operational Lease of Alameda and an Update on Condition of Alameda School District Swimming Pools Background: Staff provided an update on the condition of pools and ask for direction on ongoing operating parameters. Review of Proposed March Parcel Tax Key Terms Background: Following two public hearings and numerous meetings with members of the community and business, staff presented an initial framework for a March, 2011 replacement parcel tax. Fiscal Implications: TBD. 7.) Master Plan Scenario B Phase I/II Closure/Consolidation Options Background: Staff provided an update on the school closure/consolidation research. Fiscal Implications: TBD. 8.) Retiering Proposed Cuts for 2011/12 Background: Staff provided an update on the budget redcutions that are needed to be approved for the first interim in December.
