Background: Each month we recognize employees nominated for special recongition. This month we recognize: Jose Rodriguez, Head Custodian, Lum and Monice Blea, Office Manager II at Wood Middle School.

2.) National Homeless Youth Awareness Month

Background: Staff will present a summary of the services provided the Alameda homeless population.

3.) Evaluation Report of Staff, Principals and Teachers and Peer Assisted Review (PAR) Process

Background: Staff presented a summary of evaluation process conducted for staff, teachers and principals.

4.)  Approval of Resolution 10-0113 Layoff at WCDC Food Service Personnel

Background: Due to a reduction in services .75 FTE position is being eliminated.

5.) Discussion of Operational Lease of Alameda and an Update on Condition of Alameda School District Swimming Pools

Background: Staff provided an update on the condition of pools and ask for direction on ongoing operating parameters.

6.) Review of Proposed March Parcel Tax Key Terms

Background: Following two public hearings and numerous meetings with members of the community and business, staff presented an initial framework for a March, 2011 replacement parcel tax.

7.) Master Plan Scenario B Phase I/II Closure/Consolidation Options

Background: Staff provided an update on the school closure/consolidation research.

8.) Retiering Proposed Cuts for 2011/12

Background: Staff provided an update on the budget redcutions that are needed to be approved for the first interim in December.
