District Reopeners for Local One Contract
Article 3
The District proposes elimination of the nine percent (9%) shift differential in summer time and over winter and spring break.
The District proposes new language concerning flexible hours that are assigned in summer and other break periods based on District needs.
The District proposes changes to the overtime rates on Sundays and holidays.
The District proposes changes flexibility in starting custodial time, based on site needs.
Article 5
The District proposes additional criteria, including a test, for every promotion.
Article 6
The District proposes that ongoing progressive discipline be considered in promotion criteria along with other criteria.
Article 12
The District proposes to clarify bereavement leave language.
Article 13
The District proposes to remove back braces from the district- provided safety equipment, based upon evidence that they do not help, and in some cases, hurt.
Appnedix H-1
The District proposes to eliminate the Wellness Day benefit, as it has not improved attendance.
