Vernice Boone "Drops Out" of City Council and Hospital Board Races, But is Still Running for School Board

Yesterday, Alamedan Vernice Boone, who filed to run for three offices in the November election, told us, "I am resigning from the Hospital Board and the City Council elections. I am still running for the Board of Education." City Clerk Lara Weisiger told us that the deadline has passed for removing Boone's name from the ballot for the City Council and Hospital Board races. She said that his name will still appear on the ballot for three offices - School Board, Council and the Hospital Board.
