    • In conjunction with examining student assessment data in grade level study teams, how well are teachers implementing strategies they agree upon, and how effective are the strategies in increasing literacy among the target subgroup?

    • What strategies in literacy and fluency can be used that will demonstrate understanding and acamedic growth. What specific skill is needed school-wide in order to demonstrate growth?

    • What teacher practices and performances in literacy will provide high level teaching enabling the target subgroup academic achievement and positive academic relationships?

  6. Student Achievement Goals

    • Using our Grade Level Study Team meetings will establish best practices for student learning and academic growth through anlysis of data and best practices.
    • Grade level study teams will focus on specific literacy needs including vocabulary development and comprehension.
    • Five percent of our student population will show positive growth, emphasizing on our African American and ELL populations.

    Teacher Practice Goals

    • Identify data on our focal group of students in each class at each grade level of approximately 3-5 students.
    • Hold monthly Grade Level Study Team meetings and process the COI to assess data and revise teacher practices according to student needs.
    • Implement school-wide practices that will focus on literacy skills for targeted subgroup.
    • Read and apply student assessment data that provides equitable teaching practices for African American and ELL populations.

  7. What are your major strategies?
    • Identify literacy strategies to improve student achievement, including Grade Level Study Team meetings and other collaboration meetings.
    • Anlayze data and apply necessary skills and strategies.
    • Apply State standards and Benchmarks within the curriculum.

    School Mobility Percent - Represents the percentage of students attending the school for the first time.

    Parent Education Average - The average of all responses where "1" represents "Not a high school graduate", "2" represents "High School Graduate", "3" represents "Some College", "4" represents "College Graduate" and "5" represents "Graduate School".

    School Classification Index - A mathematically computed index using other non academic API components to create indicator of similar demographics and school environment to be used for similar school rankings.
