1.) Highlighting Alameda Schools - Alameda High School

Background: The staff presented an overview of the academic accomplishments of their school.

2. All Together Now Funds Distribution

Background: Last November the Alameda Education Foundation conducted a fundraiser called All Together Now. AEF presented a $35,000 to Alameda Unified School District. $6000 will go to charter schools.

3.) Report on Historic Alameda High School Seismic Concerns

Background: A facilities study commissioned by the district, the architect identified concerns regarding the Historic buildings on Central. As a result work has started on implementing safety measures for students entering and exiting the historic buildings.. Staff presented an update on implications of the seismic concerns for the Historic Alameda High School.

4.) Season of Nonviolence

Background: This meeting's reading was on the topic of making amends.

5.) Boundaries to Implement Magnet Programs

Background: Staff presented the recommendation for the boundaries to implement of Washington magnet program.

6.) Equitable Distribution of Highly Qualified Teachers

Background: Staff presented a report showing how AUSD meets federally mandated requirements for highly qualified teachers.

Background: Staff reviewed the policy for creating a naming committee to name the new magnet program at Washington.

Background: Staff presented the assessment data for English Language Learners.
