1.) Alameda Education Foundation Work with Alameda Municipal Power

Background: Since 2005 Alameda residents have had an opportunity to support technology for public education. This opportunity involved making a voluntary monthl donation on their utility bill. This year $40,000 was collected.

Fiscal Implications. Donations for technology depending on community participation.

2. Back to School Enrollment Update

Background: Staff prepared a report on the enrollment through September 10th.

Fiscal Implications: None.

3.) Summer School Report

Background: Staff prepared a report on the summer school report at Lum and Wood Middle School.

Fiscal Implications: None

4.) Unaudited Actuals

Background: The Board approved the unaudited actuals for 2011/12

Fiscal Implications: None.

5.) 2013/14 Calendar

Background: As part of the tentative agreement signed in June, 2012, a process for establishing a calendar for 2013/14 was agreed upon. An advisory committee of teachers and staff will attempt to recommend a calendar that can be approved by the teachers. The calendar needs to be approved by January, 2013 otherwise one of  three calendars will be adopted by the Board.
